HISTORY OF NCC OF NALANDA

A sub unit (NCC COY NO.170/1,2,&3) of NCC was established in Nalanda JR& Degree College ,Adilabad with a Strength of 150 in the year 1999 under 32(A) BN NCC of Nizamabad Group. Due to Possessing NCC ‘C' Ceritificate by Dr.A.VIJAY GOPAL ,Lecturer in Commerce and Head of Dept of Commerce, on 01/09/1999 he was appointed as a Direct Commissioned Officer (Associate NCC Officer) with a Rank 2/Lt and Regt.No. NCC/01110006 as a first NCC Officer of Nalanda

OTHER INFORMATION

•  LT. Dr. A.Vijay Gopal of Nalanda Degree College, Adilabad has served in NCC as an Associate NCC Officer for 11 years and 06 months i.e. from 01/09/1999 to 03/03/2011 .

•  In 2009-10 strength of NCC was to reduced from150 to 100.

•  For the Acedemic Year 2011-12 Mr.N.SHRAVN KAUMAR, Lecturer in Commerce was worked as a Care Taker and from 2012-13 Academic Year Lt. GALI ASHOK, Physical Director acting as a NCC Officer .

•  Many Cadets have participated Group and National Level NCC camps.

•  Many Cadets have joined Armed Forces.

•  Participating in every Social Acitivity Programmes.

•  Many Students have utilized B&C Certificates for joining in Higher Education and Govt.& Pvt. Jobs.

•  Sahara Scholarship Award was received Several times.

•  Every year students are involving in Blood Dontaion Camps.
